Den Leader InstructionsPackMaster is the Cub Scout management system used by Pack 56. DotNet is a PackMaster add-on product which allows the Pack to maintain a centralized database on our ftp site. DotNet also allows each den leader to access their den’s live data (rather than a copy) to make advancement and scout personal data changes. This is all done real-time so you are always accessing the most up-to-date data for the Pack. To facilitate the efficient processing of advancements by the Pack and our council we ask that you have all advancement updates completed by the Thursday evening prior to the Pack meeting. The Friday morning before the Pack meeting our advancement data will be electronically uploaded to ScoutNet (A wide area network that electronically connects all local councils, regional offices, the National Distribution Center, the Center for Professional Development, and the national office) and the various advancements will be processed for presentation at the next Pack meeting. IMPORTANT: If you are a den leader please email the Pack 56 Advancement Chairman, Doug Wall (advancements@cubs56.org), for detailed installation instruction and data access passwords. It is important that you receive these instructions prior to attempting to install PackMaster. IMPORTANT: Beginning with the 2006/2007 scouting year we will be a centralized ftp PackMaster Pack. Prior to the 2006/2007 year we were a distributed database Pack. This means that even if you have PackMaster ME installed on your computer you need to download and install the PackMaster 2006 version. If you have any questions or require help with PackMaster please contact our Advancement Chairman, Doug Wall (advancements@cubs56.org). |
